A PREFA roof resists even the harshest of weather. Even high snow loads will not cause any damage. Aluminium roofs are immune to extreme temperature fluctuations — that’s why PREFA products are used on mountain huts at high altitudes.
PREFA roofs are covered with a colour coating, which protects the material. Even if small areas become damaged during installation, bare aluminium reacts with oxygen to form a natural oxide layer. Unlike other metal sheet roofs not made from aluminium, your PREFA aluminium roof is guaranteed to remain rust-free.
An aluminium roof weighs about 1/10th of a tiled roof. As PREFA’s roof drainage system is available in classic standard colours, solutions which harmoniously match all typical roof and façade colours can generally be found. On request, we can also produce unique colours tailored to your requirements.
The PREFA gutter is characterised by its high-quality surface treatment using a coil-coating procedure. This ensures the coating layer is malleable and protected against general chemicals and weather conditions. We now also offer tree P.10 Colours: P.10 Anthracite, P.10 Light Grey, and P.10 Brown.
All parts of the PREFA gutter system are made of non–corrosive aluminium. The high-quality colour coating is ideal for the creative and functional requirements of your building’s exterior architecture.
The PREFA aluminium drainage system is also the best choice from an ecological point of view. Unlike conventional materials, aluminium does not release harmful heavy metals into sewage when gutters and pipes are constantly flushed out. Aluminium is 100 % recyclable, too.

Aluminium Coil and Sheet Material
PREFA aluminium coils and metal sheets are made from malleable aluminium alloys. This makes them easy and safe to work with – ideal for gable and valley constructions, chimney and roof window flashings, dormer cladding and much more.
PREFA aluminium coils and metal sheets can also be used in the façade area (e.g. on window ledges and corners).
Thanks to the wide choice of colours, you can always find the matching shade for a high-quality look—particularly in combination with PREFA’s powder-coated gutters. The coating is applied in a coil-coating process and is permanently weather-resistant. Flashing strips and sheets are also available in the required paint quality for PREFA’s tried-and-tested long-term roof.
IMPORTANT: Do not combine strips and sheets with other colour aluminium strips due to their different paint qualities and folding abilities. On NON-PREFA roofs, flashing for valleys, gables, chimneys, roof surfaces, etc., should only be produced using colour aluminium strips.
