The Flexible 3rd-Generation Manual Folder for Real Sheet Metal Specialists. It’s the next evolution in high-performance workshop and on-site sheet metal processing, bringing expanded clearance, enhanced ergonomics, and unmatched flexibility to your production line.
Applications & Best uses
The machine’s application flexibility comes down to its “Free Space”.
-
Boxes and Pans: The primary application of the high, segmented “goat’s foot” blades is to allow the operator to fold all four sides of a box. The high clearance (up to 180 mm) means deep boxes can be folded without the previously bent sides hitting the tooling.
-
Cassettes and Facade Panels: Creating architectural wall panels that require returns (bends) on all four edges for mounting and structural rigidity.
-
U-Profiles and C-Channels: The segmented bottom and folding beams allow bending of negative or reverse profiles (where the metal folds back under the clamping beam) without the machine getting in the way.
-
Hemming and Crushing: Creating safe, stiff edges on flashing or panels by folding the metal over completely flat (a hem). The ASK 3’s “push-back” angle gauge makes this process much smoother.
The ASK 3 advantage
Patented Quick-Clamping System
Schroeder’s patented eccentric quick-clamping device on both the clamping and folding beams allows you to change tools or adjust your setup with a single hand movement, resulting in a near-zero re-equipping time and a seamless workflow.
Hands-On Performance:
- Multi-Stage Clamping Drive: Instantly adjust the machine to accommodate four different tool heights, vastly increasing your flexibility compared to older generation folders.
-
Massive Free Space & Clearance: Offers up to 180 mm of free space at the clamping beam, up to 120 mm at the bottom beam, and up to 142 mm at the folding beam to clear highly intricate reverse bends.
-
Ergonomic Foot Pedal: Keeps your hands free to position sheet metal with 100% accuracy.
-
Integrated Storage & Mobility: Built-in tool storage on both the clamping beam and the lower frame plate keeps your tooling organised, while height-adjustable steering handles and lockable castors ensure effortless transport.
Standard configuration:
- Patented quick clamping device with eccentric for quick changing of clamping and folding beam tools
- Multi-stage clamping beam drive to accommodate 4 different tool heights
- Goat’s foot blade tooling: Height = 130 mm, 30°, sharp, 26 mm of clearance, foot width 41 mm, free space 110 mm, segmented tools incl. corner parts, material strength ca. 700N/mm²
- Bottom beam blade: segmented tooling, free space 55 mm, ca. 700 N/mm²
- Folding blade combination: Height: 120 mm, 12/15 mm wide, free space 77 mm, segmented tooling incl. corner parts, ca. 700 N/mm²
- Segmentation of tools for the 1,000 mm machine: 30/50/70/100/150/200/300 mm + 2 x 75 mm corner parts; + 250 mm segments for the longer machines
- Clamping beam stroke 110 mm
- Tooling storage on the clamping beam

FRIBESCO’s reasons:
Why Choose the ASK II folder?
✅ Ultimate 3-Beam Flexibility: Segmented tools across all three beams (clamping, bottom, and folding) open up massive clearances—up to 180 mm
✅ Patented Quick-Clamping System: Change tools or adjust your setup with a single hand movement
✅ Multi-Stage Clamping Drive: Engineered to adapt seamlessly to four different tool heights—doubling the height adjustment capacity of the ASK II
✅ Smart Push-Back Angle Gauge: A highly practical feature that lets you keep your exact angle adjustment locked in, while easily pushing the gauge back to clear the folding beam for fast, seamless hemming.
✅ Optimised Workspace Ergonomics: Features a generous, integrated tool storage deck right on the machine stand,
The Schroeder folder gives professional roofers the edge: faster throughout, consistent accuracy, and long-term reliability.
